Last Sunday, Flat Stanley went to

Iron Hill Park in Newark.

He started at the site where

Generals Washington and Lafayette

scouted British troops.

When he saw these bright red shrubs, he knew he'd blend in perfectly. That led to a rousing game of hide-n-seek. The first picture shows how well he blended in, the second shows him being found.Flat_Stanley_found_(2).jpg

Then he looked around and saw all these

great climbing trees. Up he went on two different trees.

As soon as he climbed down from the trees, he was off to the playground, where he played on the climbing bridge, the swings, and dinosaurs. The breeze picked up and he had some trouble staying on his feet and decided it was time to go.
